The La Parada del Zacatín restaurant is particularly remarkable because of the building's splendid rooftop terrace, where you have a spectacular view of the town and the ruins of the castle at the top of the hill. The atmosphere is 100% home and family-oriented. From helping to clean the plates, to the snacks, and the delicious croquettes.
We decided to come here after reading hearing reviews on the tourist train. We were two families travelling together. They have a beautiful panoramic terrace with mountain views. The typical local food was delicious and affordable. The adults ate a delicious gazpacho, even though I'm not a gazpacho lover, and a little bit of everything. We had "migas", ratatouille, fried potatoes, lamb, adobo loin, a piece of sausage and chorizo. Everything was great and left us satisfied. We had sangria, which was also good. The dessert wasn't as good, just a whiskey and melon cake. But very good. The service was fast, very good and very nice.
La Taberna del Sacristan is located in Frigiliana, and is a great place to make a "gastronomic homage" through the city, as it is a great restaurat to choose many dishes made with the finest products in the area. The Restaurant offers, among its main dishes, Charolais beef and lamb, plus a large variety of fish and seafood in the province as well as some great homemade desserts. The restaurant's decoration is typical Andalusian, and during the summer, customers can enjoy the nice terrace. It is located in one of the most important places of the town and surrounded by historic buildings.
The foundation of typical Mediterranean cuisine is the usage of seasonal produce which has been freshly picked from the garden. This is the norm in Andalusia: fresh without being too complicated, healthy and delicious. And this is what this restaurant offers in one of the prettiest villages in Andalusia, the Jaime Restaurant, which specialises in traditional and homey dishes from the town made using old, family recipes. There's the added bonus of magnificent views from its pretty terrace.
Very good place in the heart of Frigiliana.
The views from its terrace are really stunning, but we stop by because of the menú. Variety and great value for money. We'll pay a visit again on our next trip to Costa del Sol.
Here you can try many dishes, like Mediterranean fusion, Mozarabic, vegetarian dishes and a fine selection of domestic and imported meats. Guests can choose from a tasting which costs between 55 and 75 € and in which you can try tomatoes stuffed with eggplant spreads, chicken with almonds and honey, rice pudding etc, or A la Carte Menu which includes tasting plates and other items such as beef, prunes and carrots, hummus or sorbet melon and muscat wine, homemade pies, bread pudding with raisins and molasses, etc.. They have a garden area and a terrace with great views. Inside the restaurant, smoking is not permitted, there is a children's menu and children's area, all credit cards are accepted, and advance reservations are recommended. It is open from 12 am to 20 pm and Sunday from 18-23 hours. It is closed during the months of November and December, as well as Wednesdays and during the Feria de Nerja in the second week of June. Guests can browse the internet, enjoy the ocean view and view of a golf course, ensure comfort in the air conditioning and enjoy calmness in the tranquility. From there you can admire the Rock of Sabina.
This restaurant is located in the historic center of the beautiful village of Frigiliana, and offers quality and fresh ingredients in the preparation of its dishes. It is especially busy on the weekends. Another plus is the wonderful views to be enjoyed from the terrace, the sea and the surrounding countryside. The specialty in this restaurant and in most restaurants throughout Andalucia is very typical Andalusian cuisine of the healthy Mediterranean diet. One of the popular dishes is roast suckling pig (usually on request) the lamb chops or paella. It has a good wine list and almost all home made sausages and homemade desserts. The price to quality is very good.
One of the best places to relax and eat or have a beer is the El Ingenio Bar & Restaurant. The best thing about this place is the view, which although doesn't look out onto the village, you can still see a part of the building's beautiful facade, sitting under an ivy roof outdoors. Inside, near the bar, is where all the machinery from the old honey factory (the oldest one in Spain) is. Even though it wasn't open to the public, we could see it over the low wall that separates it from the bar
This commercial property of J. Ruiz sells handicrafts and typical local products, like wine from the Aljazina Winery. There are a variety of types: sweet, semi-sweet, dry muscat wine, the Frigiliana wine. You can taste them all for free and they are packaged and labelled in the Store-Warehouse itself. There were also different types of local honey, molasses, nuts, candies, liqueurs, chocolate, jams and pastries. They offer small details for different celebrations and custom label to suit the buyer. On the left side of the facade, you can see the quality certificate issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
Almost at the edge of the Plaza del Ingenio, there is this tapas bar with Andalusian cuisine. It has a terrace outside offering some really nice views. It's ideal to try a local wine and a "tapa" at fairly reasonable prices, around 12 or 13€. While there wasn't much variety, the tapas and wines were good. It has outdoor parking, but it's still difficult to find a spot. The price of the tapa is included in the beverages.
In my life one of the better friends I've had has been the of Restaurante La Bodeguilla of Frigiliana. The first time I ate there, it was August and although it was almost 40 ° it was worth the sweat - delicious! There is a Bodeguilla restaurant at the beginning of Calle Chorruelo and another in the beautiful Callejon del Inquisitor. At both you receive the same good service and warm welcome. The home cooking is hearty and prices are more than popular. Breadcrumbs are usually accompanied by sausage, black pudding and a fried egg.
This is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner or a relaxing meal in a beautiful garden. The Garden Restaurant offers stunning views of the village of Frigiliana. The kitchen departs from the typical Andalusian cuisine, but the dishes are all made with good garden products. The cuisine is international and mainly emphasizes meat and fresh fish from the creek. The menu is varied and the wine list is quite acceptable. You should make reservations during the summer for dinner. The value for the price is quite good.
