2 reviews of Burlington House

Unavoidable if you go to London

A magnificent Palladian style building built in 1665 as the private residence of Sir John Denham. It was then sold to the Earl of Burlington and took its name. Now it's home to the Royal Academy of Arts and various cultural foundations such as the Geological, the Astronomical and the Antiquarian. It has an important permanent collection and organizes several exhibitions of contemporary art and temporary exhibitions, which are always of great interest. Visiting a museum is unavoidable if you go to London.
