The racing circuit at Cadwell Park opened its doors for the first time in 1934. It is located in the north of England, near the towns of Louth and Lincoln. It is one of Europe's most spectacular circuits and is attractive, both for its location - it is surrounded by trees and vegetation and by the numerous curves, slopes and narrow passages, which require a lot of skill to navigate . The part of the circuit that attracts more viewers is "The Mountain", so called because it comprises an ascending slope (10 meter high) that drops down at the end, which means that most riders spend a few thousandths of a second in the air. In general it is only motorcycle racing here (of any capacity and time), but also occasionally some historic car races or go-karts. Circuit facilities are very good and well maintained. There are also baths, showers, cafes, restaurants etc.
After crossing the island of Skye, facing Neist Point, I turned south for the last time before leaving this beautiful island. The mythical landscape jumped out at me, seeming even wilder, more unusual and more surprising than I could imagine ... the raging sea, the abandoned boats, the bare trees ... what a delight.
Why not go to the kart track? The entrance isn't easy to see at first, but is located just before the entrance to the Mile End park under the railway station. Once inside you can enjoy a large circuit, although the karts are not all of the same quality ... so if you lose, you have something to blame! Price £ 20 for 16 laps.
If you wish to visit the city of Liverpool in a fast and original way, I recommend Yellow Duck Marine, which will take you not only through the streets of the city, but also along its canals! These amphibious yellow vehicles are quite different from other tour buses, enabling you to enjoy the network of canals that run through the city from Albert Dock.
On the occasion of the Shell Eco Marathon, Scuderia Ferrari, sent two star drivers from the Rockingham circuit to the UK. The two teammates, dressed in red, were ready to compete, and are shown here with Michael Schumacher and his wife, supporting the race.
