Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul in Greenwich

1 review of Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul in Greenwich

A wonderful place

The chapel was built by Thomas Ripley, following Sir Christopher Wren's designs, and was the last part of the Royal Hospital to be built. After a disastrous fire in 1779, it was almost entirely rebuilt by James Stuart, in the Greek Revival style, and today is a wonderful example of neoclassical style. Look out for the large altar painting by Benjamin West and the spectacular organ.
