La Baule is famous for its beaches and it also has numerous restaurants located directly on the beach, with oceanfront terraces. The Season's is one of them. It's right on Benoit beach, which is one of the quietest and most beautiful in the bay. It's just feet away from the Casino and 10 minutes away from the famous De Gaulle Avenue. Its modern interior decoration turns heads and tempts you to taste some of their delicious dishes that are all based on in-season produce. They have several menus, including one for children, and the average price of a dish is between 15 and 20 euros. The restaurant specializes in fish, and proposes a creative cuisine. I especially enjoyed the chef Cotriade both the flavors and its presentation. And all this watching the Punta Penchâteau. We couldn't have asked for more! The restaurant is worth a stop to enjoy a magical moment before going for a walk along the water.
This place is a must see in La Baule. Situated at the entrance of General de Gaulle Avenue, going toward the path, is a family business that has been around for over 50 years, to the delight of tourists and locals. I especially like the Chantilly caramels (waffles with whipped salted butter, caramel, candied strawberries) or raspberry niniches or poppy and nougat ice cream. I must say this is always the first place I visit in La Baule. The place is very intimate, with great service. If you're lucky, you may even see the machines that make the sweets!
This restaurant is located on the beach of La Baule and is a great place to enjoy all the flavor of the French Atlantic. Almost everything is decorated in wicker and wood finishes. The large windows and terrace give great beach views. The Barbade serves à la carte dishes at affordable prices. Here you can enjoy a delicious dish of Mozzarella fondant with vegetables or enjoy the subtle aroma of fried shrimp with cilantro. I loved the crispy duck with sauce. Treat yourself and try these delicious dishes while dining by candlelight in one of the best beaches of western France.
As its name suggests, Carpe Diem is a restaurant that suggests that you live in the moment without thinking about the calories you're eating, because everything is so very good that you enjoy every bite! Carpe Diem offers a seasonal menu that is filled with fresh, high quality ingredients and it shows in the taste of the dishes. Chef Frédéric Lehuedé is one of the creators of this miraculous kitchen of unique and different tastes. His creativity is more than evident in the development of recipes and presentation of dishes. For those who dare, there is an option to sample the fare with your eyes closed. This allows you to let your imagination run wild about the taste of the food. It is a fantastic experience! The decor of dark wood and cream is lovely. The food is mouth-watering!
La Baule is one of the most touristy beaches of the Pays de la Loire, so it's no wonder that there's such a high level of restaurants in the city. La Croisette is the best and brings together the best of regional cuisine in a selection of surprising dishes with excellent flavor and presentation. La Croisette perfectly combines efficient service with a captivating menu. Fish, 'Tatars' and carpaccios are a few of the highlights. The restaurant is decorated with warm colors, wooden furniture and armchairs, which give a peculiar feeling of familiarity. Discover a world of flavors at La Croisette!
