BTL: International Fair of Tourism
In a few days the Lisbon Tourism Fair starts. The fairground is worth it. Old halls and avenues from the Expo 98 grounds have been converted into the fairground which extends into the sea, like everything in Lisbon. The Portuguese fairs schedules are somewhat strange because they open their doors both at noon and close well into the winter night, at about nine or ten. During this time, you can walk through all the regions of Spain( competition for Portuguese tourism), you can pass through the Lusophone world, experiencing samba and the most remote places on the map. Among this multitude of gifts for the fair visitor. Some people ask where you can eat, where there's an interesting museum, and even ask for a gift. Office supplies, gastronomical shows, wine or Caribbean drinks... here you can collect a bit of everything. A Moroccan wrote my name in Arabic and there are masseuses. I was surprised by a lady with wide hips and a colorful dress, who had been part of the Rio Carnival, who tried to tie a ribbon of good luck on my wrist. "Make a wish by knot," she said as she twisted the tape.

Hot Five
We had the opportunity to meet the hot five in Oporto, we loved it. For 4 nights in a row, after dinner we went to see their live performances. If you like jazz, blues, rock, this is your place. Entry costs 4€ per person but it's worth it. Do not miss it if you like good music and good entertainment.
Shows in Cascais
Festas do Mar
The Festas do Mar Cascais takes place every year for a few weeks of August, and is an event well worth visiting! The first thing to note is the price (free!), and there are all kinds of concerts and shows to suit every different taste. In 2012, for example, some headliners were Pedro Abrunhosa, Mikkael Solnado, Andre Sardet, Ronan Keating, and Rui Veloso. There are always performances by Cascais garage bands, thus helping to promote the local talent. In addition to the concerts, it's a beautiful place to visit and explore on foot, with plenty of great food and drink, crafts, promotion events, music, entertainment, and a great fireworks display. Watching concerts with your feet in the sand, and the beautiful Bay of Cascais as a backdrop is just amazing!
Shows in Póvoa de Varzim
Monumental Bullfight Square
Of course we were wrong to think that in Portugal there was no bullfighting tradition, the Monumental Plaza de Toros de Póvoa demonstrated that they do hold this sport as a tradition Unlike the Spanish in Portugal it is only a mere spectacle in which it is forbidden to kill the animals. Prior to the construction of this square (it is from the nineteenth century), bullfights were held inside the Fortress of Our Lady of the Conception. The current arena was opened in 1949, designed by Alfredo Coelho de Magalhaes. It has a capacity for 5,500 spectators, and since 1984 it is managed by the City Council. They also have horse shows.
