The tourist information office in Viana municipality is adjacent to the Monument of April 25, waterfront and ferry station. Besides giving information about tourist attractions and its hours, it intends to be a visitor reception center and promotion of local events, in which there is a small showroom and a shop selling crafts and clothes. From here there are tours to different places around city. Here you can rent bikes with capacity of two to four people to enjoy and explore all the historic center as a pedestrian. Hours: Daily from 10-19pm. During July and August until 22h. In Viana there is another tourist office regional and district, inside the Hospital Velho, in the heart of the historic center.

Although previously situated inside the Torre da Porta Nova, the tourist office of Barcelos is currently facing the rear facade of the tower, in a building situated in Largo Dr. Jose Novais. It is a starting place to begin the tour of the city, as in the surrounding area there are the main tourist and historical points of interest. However, in different parts of the city's one can find tourist maps and location, and in front of each monument or landmark building there are explanatory plaques for visitors to read.
The Information and Tourism Office in Bracanca is found at the entrance of the old part of town, on Cidade de Zamora Avenue. You can't see it very well, so you have to keep in mind there's a gas station that will be ext to it. There will be a little tourist alley and all types of information about places to visit (also places to visit outside of the area).

Tourist Information in Viana do Castelo Municipality
The Parque Natural do Alvão has 2 Interpretation Centers, one in Vila Real, and another in Mondim de Basto. The Vila Real center is just behind City Hall, near the Museum of the Old Village and São Dinis Cemetery. It's formed by two adjoining buildings, in which, besides collecting information about the park (map, access, hiking trails, etc.), there's an exhibition about the flora and fauna as well as a specialized library and a small auditorium. This centre also organizes environmental activities for groups and schools.
A good starting point for Lagos, one of the most tourist cities of the Algarve, is the tourist information office which is situated in the historic heart and pedestrian area of the city. It is situated on the ground floor of the Town Hall in the Plaza Gil Eannes. Here we got a map of the city, and we were informed abou the more important places to visit (they could speak Spanish.)
